Cable Beach, Broome.
While the rest of Australia is freezing at this time of the year, here in Broome we are s0 lucky to have such an incredible weather (please drool over photos below).
Cable Beach (named after the telegraph cable laid between Broome and Java in 1889) is nothing like anything I’ve ever seen anywhere else in the world. You’ve got desert-like sand dunes on one side and an incredible white sand beach opposite to it. There’s not a lot of people here even at the peak of tourist season, so you still get that special feeling of being isolated (in a good way).
I like Cable Beach a lot. It’s my number one go-to place to unwind after work and because anywhere in this small town is near, it’s so convenient and easy to visit. Although, the ironic thing is I don’t really like swimming that much. I just like walking, feeling the sands and the water, thinking happy thoughts and the thing that I really enjoy doing these days, which I believe is incredibly effective, is framing my plans and decisions in life while strolling on the beach! Having a calm and relaxed mind definitely helps me from the stress of it all.
