Night Markets and Staircase to the Moon in Broome!
One of the things that I enjoy doing here in Broome is going to the night markets. The atmosphere is so relaxed and there are so many good quality food stalls, arts and crafts and fashion accessories t0 shop! I also love listening to the buskers in the background while I’m leisurely walking around checking out every stall. The best time to go to the markets is during the event the locals poetically describe as Staircase to the Moon. It’s one of my favourite phenomenon to witness here in Broome that I’d probably not experience as often anywhere else in the world. It’s one of the most romantic and stunning natural events everyone deserves to see before they die (seriously). The ‘staircase-effect’ happens when the sea is at low tide and the dry, rippled sands- beamed by the moon’s light creates a staircase impression. I did my best taking photos and videos to an event that really needs to be fully appreciated live! Needless to say ,the pictures did not really capture the real beauty of such magnificent scene.
One of my good friends and fabulous fellow blogger- Sarah of thesilverliningblog.net (check her amazing style and travels too!) is leaving Broome. I will miss her so much and our random fashion-bloggy talks in and out of our daytime job. She is such a sweetheart!
